Hey Everybody,
This week was pretty fast.. probably one of the faster ones i've lived... Which is good and bad.. good in the sense that It means we did good work, and bad in the sense that.. it's over, and all the amazing things that happened didn't linger longer. haha Luckily the spirit is always close by..
This week we found a bunch of people and got some amazing help from on high.. we are inches from another burmese family miracle, if we pray and live worthy of it. The Per family is so close! Iang Per is on date for june 26th and her family is slowly praying about what we're teaching them.. It really was a miracle though.. last P-day we went to their house and I prayed so hard that our lesson would go well, it ended up being mostly just Iang (the 17 year old girl) and she felt the spirit so strong, :) amazing.. after our lesson we were so happy.... throughout the week we stopped by 2-3 times for other visits and were able to teach her family... she decided to follow her mothers demand to be baptized in the Chin church on sunday, but still plans to be baptized on the 26th.. legitimately.. The father Mangk, is a serious consideration for Priesthood leadership.. Last wednesday I fasted to be able to find someone to lead the Burmese... we had a lesson with Mangk and met another Burmese guy named Mang both look VERY promising, and Mang speaks English well, as well as Burmese, Chin Hakha, Tedeem, etc.. several others.. He's amazing, really seemed touched when we knelt in prayer with him.. :)
Overall we had some serious miracles, While I was fasting for help in our lessons to have the spirit stronger, the Lord answered that call.. and whispered to have my companion lead the lesson with our investigator Clyde. Clyde is usually a near bible bash lesson.. but this time, we taught him the Plan of Salvation and the spirit was strong. I did my best to let Elder Jackson teach the lesson mostly.. It was seriously an answer to prayer. I love this work!
I've prayed so hard recently for the Burmese families.. If everyone could remember the Burmese and my companion and myself in their prayers, it would help a lot....
The work is going forth boldly nobely and independently... It is such a ride. I love the Lord and I love this work.. Last week we were invited to a meeting with some of the more successful areas in the mission and president and the AP's, talking about being more efficient and putting people on date.. I learned a lot. I'm so thankful for it.
The Lord is my light! I love the great things He has taught me in my time here.. If I can get this Burmese movement started, I might be here for a long time... The Chuukese are taking a slight backseat for a little while (More burmese and closer to the church) .... I love it..
I hope you guys met Brother Dorsett.. he has a box I sent with him.. invite him to dinner! and love their family when they all get down there. K? I love you guys so much.. keep in touch.. can't believe I've been out for almost 6 months! crazy..
